The Story: Next Chapters

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

This vessel began its story in a college dorm room, where it brought color and joy to a young student’s life. She told me she loved to fill it with something new each season: flowers in spring, branches in fall, greenery in winter. It became her small ritual of change, a way to mark time and bring beauty into the ordinary.

When I found it, I was drawn to its soft cream background and flecks of warm autumn color. The pitcher itself felt like fall: subtle, rooted, and full of quiet abundance. I imagined it once sitting on a small dorm desk beside books and late-night coffee, catching morning light through a narrow window. It felt right to give it a new story, one still shaped by the rhythm of the seasons. Now, it has moved away from her room and into your hands, a new chapter for all.

This piece is planted with Tree Ivy, a resilient, sculptural plant known for its glossy leaves and graceful growth. Its roots rest in a custom Restoried soil blend, created for balance and breathability, giving new life to a vessel once filled with fleeting arrangements. What once held water now holds something enduring—green life that continues to grow and change, season after season.

Care Guide

  • Light: Bright, indirect light or soft morning sun.

  • Water: Keep soil lightly moist, watering every 7–10 days. Allow the top inch to dry between waterings. Notice there is no drain hole in the bottom.

  • Environment: Prefers room temperature with good airflow. Avoid extreme heat or drafts.

  • Top Dressing: Spanish moss help retain gentle moisture and add beauty. Refresh as needed.

  • Encouragement: If leaves dull or droop, trim lightly to invite fresh growth.

Reminder

This vessel, with its fall tones and gentle speckles, tells a story of continuity, that every season offers its own kind of beauty. The Tree Ivy inside will keep reaching, reminding you that growth often begins quietly, in the space between what was and what’s next.

“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” — Unknown

I prayed over this vessel and for you, the person holding it now. May it remind you that life renews itself in every season, and may God bless whatever is on your heart today.

With you in the soil and the story,

Ellie

A Living Story Disclaimer
Each Restoried Garden begins its journey in my hands but continues its story with you. Every vessel has been cleaned, prepared, and planted with care; however, once it leaves my garden, its life depends on your unique environment and tending. Please note that weather, watering, and placement all influence longevity, and I cannot be responsible for plant performance or wear over time. These pieces are meant to live, grow, and change, a reflection that no story truly ends; it simply takes root somewhere new.
